Close up artsy shot of the mini munny I customized for Kid Robot's mini munny contest. Still waiting until tomarrow to hear who won but either way I'm extremely happy with the results of this one.
Customization Details: - The face was sculpted and painted to look more like Sweeney Todd. Also the clothing and razors were done in the same manner. - All of the hair including the eyebrows and sideburns is leftover wig fiber curled to make his unique style before being attached to the head. - The base is made in the resemblance of a meat pie and opaque airbrush paint was used to create the signature blood color on the blades, meat pie and pooling in the saucer it all sits on. If you only knew the agonizing hell some parts of that were. The eyebrows for example... omg the left one just about none of the hairs would actually stay on it and if I just breathed on it the wrong way it would fall off. I finally just started dunking the ends of longer strands of hair into super glue and pressing it on to get it to stick.
Plus the hair itself I ended up having to curl almost double the hair I was first expecting to have to use to get it to cover the entire head. Thank god I'm such a hoarder when it comes to leftover hair fiber when I cut and style wigs or I would've been in a bit of trouble. Still it was so freaking worth it whether I place or not. Even when I was starting to loose steam and his little clothe thing on his other hip snapped off for the 3rd time I could still say it was still fun in some twisted frustrating way. Even if you didn't get one done to enter the contest I still say mod one cause you have no idea how thrilling it is to look at something you know was this blank figure and know you took that and made it into something so different. I'm totally rambling, but thanks for the comment and reading my ramble if you got this far. -- |
