Pokemon hoodie group by invader-gir Pokemon hoodie group by invader-gir
This is from the Cosfu meet at Otakon 08. All of the hoodies were made by either :iconthe-real-nuriko:, his sister or myself.

Debuted at: Otakon08
Time taken to complete: 3 weeks off and on
Character: Pikachu, Mudkip, and Mew
Series or Game: Pokemon
Inspiration for cosplay: It was more like a group decision while talking with a few other cosfu members on skype. That plus :iconasukabmz: was poking me for a couple months to make him a mudkip hoodie after seeing the one I made for sandshrew.
Comments: These were actually surprisingly fun to put together. Still hated cutting all the fabric out but thats how it is with most costumes I make.

Dude. I would love(and be willing to pay for) a Dragonite hoodie. Preferably a zip-up. Email me if you're interested.

I don't actually use them that often to make it worth giving out (my facebook is mainly family and school people so I check it once every other week if that). It is actually a lot easier to get ahold of me either via note on here or hitting up my email at studiokitsu@gmail.com .

I love it they're so adorable. I'm gonna make my own pika hoodie because frankly it'd be cheaper to make one than to buy it from Calgary Cosplay.

Ehhhh I do commissions too and although my prices on the couple things we've done the same of are under their's I don't at all fault them for their price. Its tough hitting that magic number of charging a fair price while not ripping yourself off in time and effort plus expenses.

I commend you're making your own though.

Thanks, you keep doing what you do! :)
I figured it'd probably be more personal and I'd feel more accomplished if I did it myself.

step 1. buy hoodie pattern
step 2. buy fabric
step 3. cut and sew together fabric.

:3 hope that helps!

Hope you have 5 hands to go with them? Or at least a set of thimbles for each of them.

Actually, if you're new to sewing its totally normal to feel like you're a complete klutz. Its a bit overwhelming at first trying to learn how to not just use a machine or how to hand sew but also how to cut pieces to make the shapes you're looking for. Almost every project I do I have moments where I end up thinking to myself "how the devil do I do this?!" So don't feel bad.

Holy shit LOL the Jynx... Jynx has always been one of the scariest pokemon imo xD;;

*_* Lol its funny I came across this while I was looking for ideas on how big the sleeves should be for a pokemon hoodie I'm making (snorlax ftw) xD

all of these are so cute D:

and most of these pokemon people wouldn't think to make hoodies of, so it's sort of a unique/cool group pic

also otakon=<3

kudos to everyone who made those hoodies! :3

Thanks, the Jynx is :iconthe-real-nuriko: and actually it was a group project between myself Nuriko and :iconeffycrush: .

Also if you check out my gallery I have a picture of a Snorlax hoodie I made for one of my friends.

And yeah, I saw that after I left this comment! O: It looks fabbbb.

I'm totally unsure of how I'm going to put on the tummycolor/face color without ruining the hoodie... Aaaagh.

Not horrendously difficult. The hardest part is figuring out what to add and how to add it to give the impression of that pokemon.

These are fantastic! I absolutely love them. I don't make costumes but I make plushies a lot and I know the pain of cutting a bunch of fabric, wire, and foam. *shudder* I remember a life-sized Charizard I tried to do... I swear I couldn't write or draw for a week after.

Making plushies isn't too far from making costumes actually from what I've seen. I actually have a harder time making patterns for plushy type pieces than clothing.

yeah, it's more of the 3D aspect i think. and it's a closed thing as opposed to open like clothing is. either way, it's fun :)

Hoodies are probably the most forgiving piece of clothing you could attempt if that helps. Especially if you pick up a pattern for it. Then its a matter of just modifying the crap out of it.
